Visiting a church for the first time can come with a lot of questions.
What should I wear? Where do I go? What will the service be like? What about my children? Will I know what to do?
At Centreville Methodist Church, we want your first visit to feel comfortable, welcoming, and easy.
Whether you have been part of a church your entire life, are returning after time away, or are exploring faith for the first time, you are welcome here.
Come as you are. We have room for you.
What to Expect
When you arrive at Centreville Methodist Church, you can expect a warm welcome, meaningful worship, biblical teaching, prayer, and a congregation that genuinely enjoys being together.
You do not need to know all the words, understand every part of the service, or have everything figured out before you come.
Simply come and experience worship with us.

We recommend arriving about 10–15 minutes before worship begins so you have time to park, enter the church, and get comfortable.
What Should I Wear?
Whatever makes you comfortable.
You will see people dressed in a variety of ways, from casual clothing to traditional Sunday attire.
There is no dress code.
We care much more about having you with us than about what you are wearing.
Where Do I Park?
Parking is available in the front of the church and in the rear parking lots. Handicapped Parking is available in both locations.
When you arrive, there are four primary entrances to into the building, three along the front of the building, and the double-door entrance off the back parking lot. Once inside signage or greeters will lead you to the sancutary.
If you are unsure where to go, look for one of our greeters. We will be happy to help you find your way.
What Is Worship Like?
Our worship is centered on Jesus Christ and grounded in Scripture.
During a typical service, you can expect:
Music and congregational singing
Prayer
Scripture readings
A biblical message
Opportunities for reflection
Fellowship with others
You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
There is no expectation that a visitor will know exactly what to do.
Bringing Children?
Children and families are always welcome at Centreville Methodist Church.
We want children to know that church is a place where they are:
Safe. Welcomed. Known. Loved.
There is a Nursery available during both the 8:40 AM and 11:00 AM services.
If you are visiting for the first time, one of our greeters will be happy to help you and your children find the right place.
Children are also always welcome to remain with their families during worship.
Will I Be Asked to Give Money?
Guests should never feel obligated to contribute financially.
Giving is an act of worship for those who consider Centreville Methodist Church their church home.
If you are visiting with us, your presence is your gift to us.
Do I Have to Be Methodist?
Absolutely not.
You do not need to come from a Methodist background—or any church background—to worship with us.
Centreville Methodist Church is a congregation of the Global Methodist Church, but our invitation is open to anyone who wants to learn more about Jesus Christ, grow in faith, find community, or simply explore what church might mean in their life.
What If I Haven't Been to Church in Years?
Then you may be exactly the person we hope will visit.
There is no test before you walk through our doors.
There is no expectation that you have everything figured out.
If you have been away from church for years, had a difficult church experience, or are simply uncertain about faith, you are welcome to come and see.
What Happens After Worship?
We hope you will stay for a few minutes, meet some people, and allow us to welcome you personally.
There is no pressure to join anything.
